When a seminarian enters the St. John the Evangelist School of Theology, he does so on his own volition and therefore expresses his willingness to abide by all the rules and regulations of the seminary. He therefore commits himself to observe its Rules and Regulations.
While the candidate to the priesthood is expected to be responsible for his own formation, with the guidance of the formators, the Rules and Regulations that govern the seminarian's behavior serve as an aid, in the character formation of an integral human person: mature, responsible, sociable, self-disciplined, culturally refined, profoundly spiritual, academically proficient and pastorally competent.
