OUR RECTOR TURNS 52

SJEST opened wide its doors for a day to the world. Locally and internationally recognized personalities flocked the seminary for an awe-inspiring purpose. In collaboration with the seminary Fathers, the community of theology seminarians, the personnel and staff together with the auxiliaries fused as one family in thanking God for the gift of life given to Rev. Msgr. Benedicto Catilogo, Rector and father of the theologate seminary.

SJEST, the new home of Msgr. Bendic remained in its normal operations and its routinary ambience during the day; however, a sudden shift of atmosphere happened in the evening came. People who had known and perhaps had been part of priestly journey of Msgr. Ben graced the simple yet memorable celebration. Some of the notable guests were benefactors from abroad and some distinguished personalities in the Archdiocese of Palo. The Archbishop of Palo, Most Rev. Jose Palma together with some priests and deacons had missed not to grace and dine with Msgr. Ben.

This meaningful day of our dear Rector was highlighted by a Eucharistic celebration where he himself was the celebrant and concelebrated with the Priest Formators of the same seminary. A sumptuous dinner was served after the mass. To set a festive tone, the community prepared a simple program as an accolade to the birthday celebtator. The program ended up with the words from the honoree.
