TOLOSA GRAND CHOIR TRAINS
SJEST SEMINARIANS
The trainors of the multi-awarded Chorale of Tolosa in Leyte spent hours with SJEST seminarians for a music orientation. It was lately that the seminary had a new set of formators. Fr. Raymond Mazo, who happened to be the music instructor of SJEST was assigned to a parish. The seminary choir paused for moment while waiting for someone who will lead the choir in the absence a trainor. One with the desire of the Church to form future priest wholistically the seminary formatos requested the Tolosa Choir to train the seminarians in the field of Music.
The seminary forgo with the regular Thursday night schedule to give way to the music orientation. Mr. Lerios and Ms. PalaƱa came to over and started the series of sessions which will continue throughout the whole school year. The first session was done at the Main Chapel of SJEST but succeeding sessions will be done at the SJEST AVR. They refreshed the seminarians on the basic principles of singing and singing with a group. After imparting theories, these two musicians who were music teachers by profession in Universities within the metro, proceed immediately to the practical side of what they had disclosed.
The seminarians were very much responsive to the session. They had vocalizations and afterwards they were assgined to certain groups where their voice range belong. With the help of the Tolosa Choir and in particular by these persons who were active members of the Church, the seminarians in SJEST envisions to have a good and pleasing Choral group which will facilitate the peoples incounter with Christ through music.
